Just a Friendly Reminder

So I wasn't going to publish this as my first post--because for my first post, I had something a bit wittier in mind. Something that would show off my erotic and alarming personality a bit more, something sweet and lighthearted. With pictures. (Stay tuned for that if you care, and if you do I'll throttle you with love, and if you don't and call me mean names I'll probably still throttle you but it won't be nearly as pleasant.)

Just kidding I'd be too lazy.

But after spending a significant amount of time on the interwebs today, I realized that I could not make this wait. I needed to rant. And I needed to do it immediately.

So here we go.

People are just so sad all the time and it really breaks my heart.
All of you—every single one of you—are beautiful. So beautiful that I honestly wish I could make the words into wonderfully tasting chocolate cakes that I could somehow force down your throats in large amounts until you all believed it yourselves. I wish I could help you, oh God, I wish I could help you see that.
Do me a favor and stop comparing yourselves to others. Stop looking at what you don’t have, or what you think would make you better, stop thinking of yourselves as monsters. Do me a favor, glance in the mirror, and see yourself for what you really are. Notice your smile, your hair, notice your unique little freckles or your dimples or your legs and realize that you were made with such thought and such care—such detail—try to realize that you are exactly how you need to be, and none of that needs to change. You are works of art, you are unique, and you are loved. You may not feel it sometimes. But God, you are all so loved. And needed. And it really just pains me to realize that you lovely people can’t see that.
You are not ugly. NO ONE is ugly. You are you—and that is all you will EVER need to be.
Oh my gosh.
Chin up, friendships, you are masterpieces. You are perfect. You are needed. You are important. You are worth everything and more. You are loved.
All of you—every single one of you—are beautiful.

Nothing—nothing—could ever change that.

Just a friendly reminder.
